WHAT IS STUMP GRINDING? 

Stump grinding and removal is the act of grinding down a stump to below ground level so none of the tree is present. It is the final step to completely remove the last part of a tree. Alternatively, a stump can be poisoned which allows the eventual removal of the stump without grinding however this takes much longer (months instead of hours) than grinding a stump down.

WHY GRIND A STUMP OUT? 

There are many reasons why a stump should be ground out:
  • A stump may need to be ground out to prevent the spread of disease
  • A stump is often an unsightly nuisance on a property
  • A stump can prevent ongoing maintenance and/or landscaping works on a property
  • A stump may need removing to prevent damage to lawn mowers and other machinery
