WHAT IS FELLING? 

Tree felling is the complete leveling and removal of any type of tree. There are several ways to fell a tree from 'chogging' (the act of removing the tree piece by piece from top to bottom) to one complete fell from the bottom of the trees trunk.

WHY FELL A TREE? 

There are many reasons why a tree may require a complete felling:
  • A tree may be dead or dying and therefore dangerous 
  • A tree may be diseased or decaying beyond repair
  • A tree may be too crowded by surrounding trees
  • A tree may have outgrown it's original location and pose a threat to people and/or a house or structure
  • A tree may be encroaching on property lines and/or planned private/public construction projects
